Which is just about the worst reason to propose newsgroups. The very worst
reason to propose newsgroups is to pretend one hasn't already sent the
newgroups.

easynews, like most pay news servers, will add any group their
customers ask for, regardless of whether the group exists or not.
supernews and airnews used to insist on a proper newgroup at isc, i
don't know if they still do or not. (or even if airnews are still
around?). the main problem with rogue groups is isps, but the ones
likely to be fussed aren't really likely to get complete binaries
anyway.
